In this blog Alaric del Rosario tells of his experience in traveling to Negros to do Orphan Outreach with Lilia's Place. Alaric is a 22 year old University of Cebu Student. He attends the Downtown Church and is a member of "Heartbeats", an acappella Christian group.
When Doug and Lisa invited me to go with them in Negros i was a little bit hesitant because i was thinking that it will not push through because in the Philippines when we plan something about to go to a certain place most of the time it will not push through but when the days passed by and kuya Onasis keeps on telling me that the trip will truly push through then that time, i feel so excited and feel so blessed because the couple invited me to go with them..:)
We left 8:30 in the morning at fresco bake shop and then start our very long trip and in our trip we passed through Minglanila,Naga,San Fernando,Carcar and in Carcar we stop by and buy some banana chips and "CHITCHARON "...and then finally arrived at Port at around 12 it was lunch time and all of us are little bit hungry..^_^ and then we stop at "jows inato" to eat our lunch that was 1:30 pm..and then we started again our trip and finally we arrive around 4:45 pm at brother Emperado's beach resort..and all of us our tired but all of us also enjoyed the trip...and then ate Cheryl and Irish cook our dinner and then watch movie and then sleep..
And the next morning....
we went to the orphans and check if they're OK and give them some supplies that they needed and i am so blessed to see the kids that are so happy to wear there new sandals and all of us are just enjoying the moment, and then kuya onasis prayed for the people there and the grand mother of mark and boy cried because she felt so blessed... and then we go to another house and drop also some supplies...and then i met a girl name Jane i was shock and feel so blessed that even if she lives by her self she is still happy in her life and in that perspective i come to think that God really works in our lives and maybe we just have to reflect and think critical so that we can see the plans that God has already set for us..and seeing Doug and Lisa helping that people there in Negros it was very uplifting for me...truly God works in mysterious ways..
Indeed it was a fulfillment for me knowing that God used you to be an instrument for blessing the people there and I'm so happy that i get to known people like the both of you...^_^
For Doug and Lisa thank you so much for your time and for inviting me to go with you! I hope that our God will supply all of your needs and I pray that many people will be blessed in the ministry that you are ministering right now..Thank You and God bless!....^_^ send my regards to Lilia...hehe :)
